A Pleasant Township Trustee is on a mission to save the chapel at Grove Cemetery in Kenton.
Ron Rogers, who also serves as the Chairman of the Grove Cemetery Board, stated that at this time he is trying to find out if there is an interest in rescuing the historic structure.
The chapel has stood for over a century, and Rogers said it can continue to inspire and bring peace to all who visit for many years to come.
The goal is simple yet meaningful: to restore and strengthen the chapel’s exterior, ensuring it remains a timeless symbol of serenity and history in the cemetery.
A passionate group of individuals is coming together to make this dream a reality.
In December, the Cemetery Board will vote on allowing them to raise money to replace the roof and strengthen the chapel’s exterior.
Any additional funds raised will be dedicated to further exterior improvements and a fund to maintain the Chapel for future generations.
