It opened in 1971 and currently employs 41 people.

While the Morton Buildings shipping plant in Kenton is closing, company officials stated that the construction center will remain open.

There are 12 employees that work out of that facility located on State Route 31 just south of Kenton.

The majority are crewmen who are dispatched to build projects for local customers.

Others are sales consultants who meet with potential customers to discuss options for the Morton Building they are hoping to build.

There is also an office administrator.
