Nevada Boy Accused of Firing Pellet Gun at Various Targets in Village

Deputies from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Nevada Monday afternoon to investigate an incident where a person was shooting a high powered bb gun on Goodbread Street in the village.

According to the report, the caller stated that a shot was fired at his son, who said he could hear the bb fly by his ear.

A 7 year old boy was located in the area with a pellet gun that could have easily been confused for an actual firearm.

The boys said he was only shooting at trees, but witnesses say they saw him shooting at several targets in the area.

Deputies informed the boy’s mother that a report would be sent to the prosecutor’s office for possible charges.

The pellet gun was confiscated as evidence.
