New ONU President Can’t Wait to Welcome Back Students

Ohio Northern University in Ada welcomed a new president to start the month of July.

Dr. Melissa Baumann said she can’t wait to welcome the students back to campus this fall, “I look forward, and maybe I hesitate to say this,  but to shaking every single incoming freshman’s hand and greeting their parents, because I know, I have two daughters myself, it is so hard to drop them off at campus and to say goodbye even though that’s what you spend your life doing is preparing them to take this next step, so I’m really looking forward to that vibrant community and having  the students back fully in person hopefully post-pandemic.”

Dr. Baumann is the 12th president of ONU.

She was selected to replace the retired Dan DiBiasio, who’s last day was June 30.
