Kenton City Council met Monday evening.
One of the discussions was about the idea of forming a city charter commission.
The council decided to revisit the related legislation in two weeks, allowing more time for research and thoughtful consideration.
Council members provided updates on various city projects and events, including the EPA grant the city was awarded for the water treatment plant, providing principal forgiveness in the amount of just over $3 million dollars, which constitutes half of the estimated project cost, and the remaining balance has been provided as a zero-interest loan.
Also at the meeting, some residents voiced concerns about the removal of trees on Detroit Street, the intersection at Ohio and Main Streets, and the ongoing truck traffic issues within the city.
A full video of the meeting is posted on the City of Kenton Government Facebook page.
