The Kenton JROTC marksmanship team traveled to Camp Perry over the weekend and competed in the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s monthly competition.

Despite a serious lack of range time due to the school move, team captain Presley Poling and junior shooter Logan Sherrer both made it into the final 8 “Shoot Out” out of 30 other competitors.

The two were battling for 1st and 3rd respectively, with differences in competitors’ scores as low as 1/10th of a point.
Poling ended up earning Silver, and Sherrer was just edged out of 3rd place.

The two team members also set new Personal Records.

Also on the team, Autumn Monday surpassed her old record by 16 points, and Alan Walls crushed his old record by 72 points.
