A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from late this afternoon until 1 Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service says that 3 to 5 inches of snow is expected to fall during that time period.
Travel could be very difficult, and the conditions could impact commute times.
Based on the predictions, the Ohio Department of Transportation is preparing for the winter event.
ODOT crews in District 1, which includes Hardin County, are checking and cleaning trucks and all equipment; and organizing full-time, auxiliary, and seasonal employees to prepare them to begin 12-hour shifts when needed.
In some locations, those 12-hour shifts will begin at midnight tonight.
Listen to 95.3 WKTN for the latest weather updates, and tune in to Chad and Jenny on the Morning Buzz Friday morning for any school delays or cancellations.
