Obituary for Belinda Ann (Hoyt) Nichols

Belinda Ann (Hoyt) Nichols, age 77, of Dunkirk, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on January 23, 1949, in Lima to the late Melvin E. Hoyt and Mary (Shepherd) Puckett. On October 21, 1967, she married Royce Robert “Bob” Nichols, who preceded her in death on May 4, 2022.

Belinda is survived by her children, Kim (Roger) Gerding and Tim (Lori) Nichols; her grandchildren, Abigail Gerding, Alison Gerding, Jacob Nichols, and Elijah Nichols; and her sister, Phyllis Hoyt. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Hoyt and Melvin Hoyt.

After many years of service, Belinda retired from Community Markets in Kenton. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and watching the Cincinnati Reds. Most of all, she loved her family and cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Additional visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, February 27, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

Graveside services will follow at 12:30 P.M. on Friday at Dunkirk Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Belinda’s honor may be made to St. Rita’s Hospice.
