
Benjamin A. Eickholt, age 52, of Upper Sandusky, passed away on February 1, 2026, at Magruder Hospital. He was born September 9, 1973, in Lima, Ohio, to Robert “Bob” Eickholt and Della (Duwane) Wireman St. Johns.
Ben is also survived by the love of his life for more than 20 years, Kate Mewhorter; his son, Hunter Eickholt; his daughters, Jaimie (Shawn Whitmore) Grigsby, Lauren (JP) McDaniel, and Brooke Kline; his sister, Bobbie Eickholt; and extended family members Beverly, Alissa, and Matt Mewhorter.
He graduated from Spencerville High School in 1992 and was employed at Stiger Precast in Nevada. Ben was an avid outdoorsman who truly loved nature. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending countless hours in the woods and on the water. Whether he was walleye fishing or hunting deer, squirrel, or rabbit, the outdoors was where he felt most at peace.
Ben’s wishes were to be cremated, and no services will be held at this time.
