
A celebration of life service for Dale Osborn will be held at 1:00 on Sunday, February 15th at the Mount Victory Community Center with pastor J. Mac Geissinger officiating. Dale chose to donate his body to Wright State University and a private burial will take place at a later date at Grove Cemetery in Kenton Ohio. Friends and family may visit from 11 to 1 prior to the service. Dale would want everyone to be comfortable so please dress casually.
Dale Arthur Osborn, age 84, of Mt. Victory. Ohio passed into the arms of Jesus January 31, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 26, 1941 to the late Clifford and Relva (Latimer) Osborn. He married Barbara Jean Stober, and she survives in Mt. Victory.
Also surviving are his daughters: Rhonda (Steven) Thompson of Marysville, Michele (Michael) Ault of Kenton and Cheryl (Brent) Gordon of Marysville, siblings: Robert (Marlene) of Arizona, Joyce Ann Jones of Marion and Mary Kay (Tom) Baldwin of Richwood, 7 grandchildren: Matthew (Jessie) Thompson, Natasha (Trevor) Beazley, Gregory (Chelsea) Thompson, Lindsay Ault, Kristen Gordon, Ethan Gordon, Chloe Gordon, 6 great grandchildren: Maddox and Camden Thompson, Grady Kleman-Beazley and Colton Beazley, Bailey and Annabelle Thompson, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by sisters Thelma Mae Osborn, Ruth Emma Osborn, and Ella Marie Seyfang, in-laws Harrison and Gladys Stober, sister-in-law Eileen Stober, and brothers-in-law Ross Stober, Dale Jones and George Seyfang.
Dale attended Hardin Northern schools then graduated from Marseilles High School in 1960. He was a life-long farmer and a pioneer in organic farming in Hardin County, worked at Rockwell for 7 years, and drove school bus for Ridgemont Local School district for 18 years, where he entertained the kids with funny hats for the holidays and treated them to Belly Acre ice cream cones on the last day of school! He was a member of Rhinehart United Methodist Church and Painter Creek Grange. Dale enjoyed watching his family in sports and musical events and was a huge supporter of Ridgemont sports.
The family would like to thank Vancrest of Ada, St. Rita’s and especially Universal Hospice Care for their outstanding care and support the last month.
Memorial donations in Dale’s honor may be made to God’s Lifeline in Mt. Victory, Rhinehart United Methodist Church or Painter Creek Grange.
