
Oscar G. Rowe, age 74, of Alger, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025 at his residence.
He was born on February 5, 1951 in Kenton, Ohio to Archie and Rosie (Puckett) Rowe. On August 10, 1968 Oscar married Linda Lou (Conley) Rowe and she preceded him in death on April 14, 2023.
Surviving are three daughters: Missy (Joe) Sexton, Amanda Rowe and Terrie Baker all of Lima; eight grandchildren: Erin (Josh) Welk, Joey (Haley Harvey) Sexton, Shelby (Britt) Knopp, Jacob Ervin, Keaton Sexton, Austin Freytag, Simaya Morgan and Faith Freytag; seven great grandchildren: Evan Welk, Kayley Welk, Serenity Smith, Abel Smith, Emry Welk, Amelia Smith and Nash Welk; special granddaughter, Abbey (Keegan) Keith; special favorite kid, Joey (Stephanie) Fall; three brothers: Sam (Donna) Rowe of Dola, Ted (Georgette) Rowe of Alger, and Dean Rowe of Alger; a sister, Mary Ann (Joel) Kritzler of Kenton; and a sister-in-law, Rita Rowe of Rushylvania.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie Ervin; son-in-law, David Ervin; grandson, Malekai Morgan; three sisters: Margaret Mulholland, Betty Joan Crowe and Anthy Rowe; and three brothers: Bill Rowe, Gerald Rowe and Robert Lee Rowe.
Oscar retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1971-1973.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Rev. Randy Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger with graveside military honors conducted by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
