
Pat Johnson, 66, of Dunkirk, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton following a brief battle with heart disease.
He was born on November 7, 1959, in Kenton to the late David N. and Claudette (Lockhart) Johnson. In April 1980, he met Florence “Peanut” Walker, and they were married in July 1982. She survives in Dunkirk.
Also surviving are his son, Patrick James “P.J.” Johnson; a brother, David “Mike” (Sharon) Johnson; two sisters, Mary “Lisa” Chiener and Heidi (Ryan) Alloway; sisters-in-law, Sue (Glen) Schwamberger and Betty Richards; his best friend, Loren “Sam” Nichols; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Mike Luster and Dick Richards, and his parents-in-law, Jim and Jo-Ann Walker.
Pat graduated from Kenton Senior High School and Hi-Point with the class of 1979. He was a dedicated employee of Brunson’s Restaurant for many years and also worked for Diamond Plastics.
Pat cherished his family and loved outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. He also shared a love of video games with his son.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pat’s honor may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
