Obituary for Pauline L. “Peg” Snyder

Pauline L. “Peg” Snyder, age 88, of Harrod, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025 at her son’s home in Lima, with her family by her side. 

She was born on January 4, 1937 in Lima, Ohio to the late Wesley B. and Ida M. (Sweeney) Smith.   On February 5, 1956 Peg married Donald E. Snyder and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2008. 

Peg is survived by her children: Dennis (Debra) Snyder of Waynesfield, Paul (Geraldine) Snyder of Lima, Cathy (Steve) Bailey of Lima and Brenda Probst of Lima; nine grandchildren: Daran (Charity) Snyder, Derek Snyder, Ashley Bailey, Nathan (Amanda) Bailey, Jennifer (Joshua) May, Michael (Ashley) Probst, Bethany (Mark) Dill, Sallie Snyder and Paul Snyder, II; twelve great grandchildren: Dani Miller, Brodie May, Becky Rae Bailey, Stephen Bailey, Allie Bailey, Josie Bailey, Lilah Probst, Gabril Probst, Johann Probst, Thea Probst, Emmett Dill and Eugene Dill; two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.  

Also preceding Peg in death is her daughter, Deborah Sue Snyder who died August 24, 1975; great granddaughter, Lissy Bailey; two brothers: Chester Smith and Ellis “Sonny” Smith; and two sisters: Dorine Spees and Juanita Diller. 

Peg was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Lima.  She loved to be outdoors mowing and tending her flowers. 

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Pilgrim Holiness Church, 2100 W. Breese Road, Lima, Ohio 45806 with Pastor Nathan Bailey and Pastor Donald Nichols officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.  

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 22nd at Pilgrim Holiness Church, 2100 W. Breese Road, Lima, Ohio 45806.
