Obituary for Sheri L. Woodland

Sheri L. Woodland, age 59, of Ada, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Lima Memorial Health System. 

She was born on December 25, 1965 in Lima, Ohio to the late Jerry and Lois (Myers) Mathewson.  On August 15, 1996 Sheri married John Woodland and he survives in Ada. 

 Also surviving are her two sons: Justin Mathewson of Sandusky and Jarod (Jessie) Woodland of Van Wert; and a sister, Karen (Rick) Smith of LaFayette.

She was preceded in death by her niece, Kim Smith. 

Sheri worked as the Activities Director at Hearth and Home, Van Wert.  She was a member of the Lima Area Concert Band and Hallelujah Saints Band. Sheri loved her family and traveling to Walt Disney World. 

It was her wish to be cremated. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
