Alice May (Dibble) Miller 83
of Kenton

Alice May Miller, age 83 passed away peacefully surrounded by her children at Blanchard Place Assisted Living in Kenton, Ohio after a long battle with Dementia.
Alice was born in North Baltimore, Ohio on September 22, 1940, to the late N. Bruce Dibble and Aletha Dibble Cooper. In May 1958, she married Franklin Hemmerly and they later divorced. She then wed the love of her life David E. Miller who preceded her in death on July 5, 2019, after 35 years of marriage.
Alice graduated from Forest High School in 1958. She was employed at Westinghouse in Upper Sandusky and retired from United Aircraft Products in Forest after nearly 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, vacations at the beach, baking (the BEST chocolate chip cookies and pies) and preparing large family meals. Even though she worked full time while raising her children, she somehow made it to all of their activities and those of her grand and great grandchildren. She could easily be heard cheering from the stands! She never missed a chance to send cookies to celebrate birthdays.
Alice will be sadly missed by her four children: Robert (Jennifer) Hemmerly of St. Paris, Ohio, David (Camella) Hemmerly of Russells Point, Ohio, Timothy (Dawn) Hemmerly of Forest, Ohio and Christine (Roger) Wagner of Lima, Ohio, Grandchildren: Keith Hemmerly and Stephen (Amanda) Hemmerly, Amanda (Jonathan) Carpenter, Abby (Chase) Hommel, Jessica (Jeffery) Root, Jason (Jillian) Wagner, Tyler (Owen) Shafer, and Christian (Chelsea) Miller-Goeke.  Great-grandchildren: Noah and Macey Hemmerly, Gavin Manns, Layla Scott, Jax and Cole Hommel, Nathan Root, Cooper and Sutton Wagner, Lily, Liam, and Briggs Shafer, Aylah and Eli Carpenter, and Jackson and Noah Miller-Goeke.  Her sister Shirley Kelly survives in Atlanta, GA.
Along with her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by her stepfather, Howard Cooper, stepson, David Miller Jr.  and siblings Janet Fisher, Betty Hoy, Delores Betts and Henry Dibble.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the loving staff at Blanchard Place for the excellent care of our mother during her time with you.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 29, 2024, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Randy Manns officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery in Kenton. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Bridge Hospice Findlay, Ohio.
