Obituary for Barbara Ann Gottfried

Barbara Ann Gottfried age 89 of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at Westbrook Assisted Living. She was born October 5, 1934 in Mifflin Twp. Wyandot County to Willis H. and Anna (Horn) Parsell.

Barbara married Arthur D. Gottfried on December 24, 1954 in the former Bethany Lutheran Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur and her father and mother.

Surviving are three sons: Kent (Vickie) Gottfried, Brent Gottfried, Lyle Gottfried, all of Upper Sandusky, daughter Kim (Steve) Bumb of Bryan, grandchildren: Erin Gottfried, Jenna Bumb, Mitchell Bumb and Blake Bumb, brother Dallas (Brenda) Parsell of Upper Sandusky.

Barbara graduated from Forest High School class of 1952 and attended Capital University from 1952-1954. She was a Homemaker. Barbara was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and active in the Women of the church. She was a member of Farming Friends F. B. C., Modern Mother’s and the Wyandot Camping Club. Barbara cherished the time spent camping with family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 16, 2024, at noon in St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Barry Halter Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10am-12pm at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E.
