Funeral services for Bernard Edward “Eddie” Marshall will be private per his wishes. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada. 

Ed was well in his soul and held strong to his faith till the Lord took him home on Thursday, March 3, 2022. He was born on June 4, 1960 in Kenton to Sharon (Temple) Lodge and the late Carl Edward Marshall. On May 18, 2019, he married the love of his life, Tracie (Brumett) Simon and she survives in Alger.

Also surviving are his mother; Sharon (Richard) Lodge, his children; Haley (Matt) Reed, Hayden Marshall, Tiffanie (Brock) Sumney, Zachary (Alexandria) Simon, grandchildren; Emma and Theodore Reed, Kaden and Kallie Sumney, Elise and Violet Simon, a brother; Anthony “Tony” (Gail) Marshall, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends everywhere he traveled.

Ed graduated from Kenton High School and Hi Point with a certificate in HVAC in 1978. He worked for Deerwester Plumbing/ Marshall Plumbing and Root Lumber for 19 years.

Ed was involved in the Kenton Community serving 7 years on MRDD, 4 years as a board president, was active with Boy Scouts and a member of the Kenton Moose and Lions.

He loved fishing, camping, vacationing at the Outer Banks and he especially loved to spend time with his wife, family and friends. All who knew Ed well, know of his ability to tell stories of his adventures throughout life. His devotion to his family, friends, and his sense of humor will be tremendously missed.

The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
