A graveside service for Brenda Bushnell will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Brenda passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at her home in Kenton, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 8, 1949 in Kenton to the late Robert and Helen (Johnson) Newland. On May 4, 1998 she married Carl Bushnell and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2017.

Surviving are a daughters; Jennifer (Mike) Stover of Findlay, a son; Jason Schutte of Kenton, 3 sisters; Patricia Boday of Lima, Karen Hites of Kenton, Helen “Junie” (Tom) Kissell of St. Augustine, Florida, a sister-in-law; Barbara Newland of Big Springs, 5 grandchildren; Ciera (Edward) Frese, Mackenzie (A.J. Marinelli) Stover, Madison (Alex) Kelbley, Jaron Schutte, Kynlee Caudill, 3 great-grandchildren; Londyn Frese, Skylan Frese, Emersyn Kelbley, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother; Robert “Bucky” Newland, and 2 brother-in-laws; Jim Boday and Mike Hites.

Brenda was a 1969 Kenton High School graduate. She was a homemaker.

In her free time, Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family and going on vacations with her daughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tranquility Hospice of Delaware.
