Private family services will be held at Price-McElroy Funeral home in Kenton. Burial will take place at Preston Cemetery.

Burt died on February 3, 2021 at the Blanchard Place. He was born March 11, 1949, to the late Leo E. Speicher and June (Neer) Speicher. He married Lois J. Ousley, who preceded him in death on November 8, 2020.

Burt has 1 son: Richard Speicher of Columbus, Georgia; a daughter: Erica (Robert) Edler of Kenton; three grandsons: Derek Gibson, Austin (Nicole) Edler, and Dustin Edler; one step-granddaughter: Candie Littleton; and one great-granddaughter: Jayda Gibson. Also surviving are 3 step-great-granddaughters: Kerli Gossman, McKenzie Rosvanis and Audrey Caudill. He has 5 brothers: Leo (Rose) Speicher of Richwood, Dan (Betty) Speicher of Belle Center, Victor Speicher of Marion, Stacey Speicher of Marysville, and Troy Speicher of Marysville, along with two sisters: Peggy Ann Geho of Marysville, and Tina Shaw of Eastaboga, Alabama. Burt also has a sister-in-law: Colleen (Sanders) Speicher of Russells Point, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: David and Charles Speicher.

Burt retired from Honda Transmission at Russells Point and was an Army Vietnam Veteran. He had a heart of gold and was stubborn at the same time. He loved his family dearly and would always find him playing games, coloring, or watching cartoons with his great granddaughter Jayda. He also enjoyed fixing up junk items and he would give the treasures to the less fortunate.

Memorial contributions  may be made to the Activities fund at the Blanchard Place. Online condolences may be expressed at pricefh.com.
