Obituary for Carol Louise Crabtree

Carol Louise Crabtree, 74 of Forest, passed away at 1:42pm on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. Carol was born on May 19, 1948 to the late Bernie and Opal (Gault) Jacques. On June 5, 1964, she married George Crabtree and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2022.

She is survived by her daughters: Teresa Crabtree Winegardner, Peggy (Bruce Jr.) Crabtree Cannode, Bobbie (Troy) Crabtree Simpson; sisters, Verna (Gary) Williamson, Dian Jacques Holland, Phyllis Jacques and Lorraine (Lennie) Brown; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Carol is preceded in death by her son, Terry Eugene Crabtree; granddaughter, Georgina Lightner; great-great-grandson, Waylon Lee Fay; five brothers and four sisters.

Carol was employed at the former Corinthian Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide. Her hobbies included gardening and going to garage sales. She loved watching her plants grow. Carol will be truly missed by her family and friends.
