Obituary for Carolyn M. Lawrence

Carolyn M. Lawrence, 92 of Kenton passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Logan Acres.  She was born in Rushsylvania, Ohio on October 10, 1931, to Robert E. and Mildred (Wroten) Dyer.  Carolyn married Ralph A. Lawrence on June 20, 1958, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2001. She is survived by her children; Craig A. (Tira) Lawrence and Kristie (Mike) Heilman both of Kenton.  Carolyn is also survived by her grandchildren; Nathaniel A. (Misty Leach) Lawrence, Elliott D. Lawrence, Zachary (Ashley) Heilman, Abigail (Brad) Comstock, Kathryn (Max) Frecker, seven great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Jean Dyer and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Lawrence was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph, brothers; Chuck, Russ, Dwight, Tom, Elmo, Johnny and Hubert Dyer and sisters; Dorothy Samples, Peggy Rogers and Phyllis Wamack. Carolyn worked at the Kenton Times for 32 years.  She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Kenton.  Mrs. Lawrence was also a Buck Township Clerk for 16 years and enjoyed crafts and bowling.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.  A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Craig Mansfield officiating.  Burial will follow in Norman Cemetery.
