Carrol passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Marion General Hospital. He was born on February 25, 1935, in Kenton to the late Edith (Bushong) Boecher and Robert Boecher Sr. He married Janet Willeke and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2020.

Surviving is a son, Richard (Julie) Boecher of Kenton, 2 daughters, Kim (Charles) Shoppe of Kenton, Chris Boecher of Kenton, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Haudenschield, 2 brothers, Russell Boecher, Robert “Bob” Boecher Jr, 2 sisters, Mabel Dulin, and Wanda Barrett.

Carrol was a 1953 graduate of McGuffey High School. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kenton, the Kenton Moose and a former member of the Kenton Elks and Mcdonald Grange Hall.

Carrol farmed his entire life and was extremely passionate about farming. He loved to drive around checking crops, and teaching his grandchildren about the farm.

In his free time, Carrol loved to travel to Las Vegas with his wife to gamble and see the shows. He also loved to take Janet to the movies.
