Obituary for Charles W. Thiel

Charles W. Thiel age 68 of Forest, died at Marion General Hospital on Oct. 24, 2021. He was born on Dec. 9, 1952 in Kenton to the late Robert and Luela “Peg” (Benner) Thiel. 

He married Sarah J. Jolliff on Feb. 23, 1972, and she survives in Forest. Also surviving is a daughter Shelly (Tim) White, Marion, a son Mathew (Chasity) Thiel, Forest, a daughter Wendy (Keath) Hallquist, TX, and 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, siblings Larry Thiel, Forest, Barb Flowers, Dunkirk, Jim (Charity) Thiel, Rushsylvania, Nancy (David) Hardwick, WA.

He was a 1971 graduate of Riverdale High School. Mr. Thiel was a farmer, and worked construction  as owner/opperator of Thiel’s Remodeling. He enjoyed restoring cars, drag racing and preaching.  Mr. Thiel was member of Forest First Baptist Church, Forest.

A memorial service will be held Wed. Oct. 27, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. in the Forest First Baptist Church, Forest with Pastor James Robinette officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Rescue Mission in care of Clark Shields Funeral Home 301 S.
