Obituary for Clair E. “Bear” Huffman

Clair E. “Bear” Huffman age 64 of Mt. Blanchard, died Aug. 18, 2022. He was born Feb. 9, 1958 in Findlay to the late Dale and Rozetta May (Price) Huffman. He married Sally Jo Walton on Aug. 18, 1979, she preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 1993. He is also preceded in death by a son Andrew C. Huffman, he passed Dec. 5, 2008. Surviving is a daughter April (Tom Washburn) Huffman, Forest, grandchildren Wyatt Huffman, Hawk Washburn, Colt Washburn and Zoey Washburn, a sister Sandra (Terry) Trivan, IN and a brother John Huffman, AZ.

Mr. Huffman graduated from Riverdale High School with the class of 1978. He had worked for Hickle’s Pony Rides, Landmark, Garner Trucking and Brookside Trucking. He was owner/operator of his trucking business, Clair H. Corp.  He served on the Hancock Co. Fairboard.  Mr. Huffman was a member of the Wyandot Co. Pheasant’s Forever chapter.  He was a frequent supporter of Wyandot County Pheasant’s Forever, and other area Pheasant’s Forever chapters through their annual banquets, and various activities.  He enjoyed driving his dump trucks, truck & tractor pulls, Kenton Coon Dog Trials, and supporting area volunteer fire departments with their various fund raisers.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Service procession lineup will be at the Wyandot Co. Fairgrounds between 10:00-10:30AM Mon. Aug. 29, 2022.   The procession will leave the fairgrounds at 10:30AM, and travel to Smithville Cemetery for a graveside service.  Friends and family are then invited to the Master’s Building at the Wyandot Co. Fairgrounds for a time of food and fellowship.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverdale Athletic Boosters or Wyandot County Pheasants Forever in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E.
