Connie (Whitaker) Sharp 73

of Jackson Center formerly of Kenton

A funeral service for Connie Sharp will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Hebert Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Preston Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home.

Connie died on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. She was born on January 29, 1949 in Kenton to the late Steve and Osie (Slone) Whitaker. She married Harry Sharp and they celebrated 25 years of marriage. He survives in Jackson Center.

Also surviving are 2 daughters; Stephanie (Jon) Stephens, Tara (Corey) Howell, a step-daughter; Delanie (David) Windham, a step-son; Dean (Karen) Sharp,  sister; Rose Dyer, a sister-in-law; Sheila Whitaker, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Charles Whitaker, John Whitaker, a step-son; Tim Sharp, a step-daughter; Cheri Allison, a brother-in-law; Mort Dyer and a sister-in-law; Lillie Mae Whitaker. 

Connie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend with a heart of gold. She was always there to help those in need and will be sadly missed by so many. Connie loved to go on vacation with her family and to take her grandchildren to church. She also loved her dog; Callie Ann.
