Obituary for David Patrick Butler

There will be no services held for David Patrick Butler. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at The Hardin Memorial ER in Kenton. He was born on March 17, 1956 in Kenton to the late J. Bruce and Patricia (Kready) Butler. He married Shawn Bates on June 5, 1982 and she survives in Kenton. Also surviving are daughter Brittany (Matt Peterson) Butler of Bellefontaine, granddaughter Mackenzie Peterson of Bellefontaine, sister Terri L. Ramsey of Plain City, and brother Richard “Dick” Butler of Kenton.

Dave was a Ridgemont High School Graduate and a Army National Guard Veteran. Dave retired from Napa Auto Parts in Kenton in April of 2019 and spent his retirement years, camping and volunteering at Saulisberry Park in Kenton. He was happiest when he was cooking holiday meals for his family or watching his grand daughter play softball.
