Obituary for Deborah Kay Van Atta

Deborah Kay Van Atta, 59 of Kenton, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Lima, Ohio on Christmas Day, December 25, 1964 to John and Corene (Russell) Van Atta.

Deb is survived by her father, John (Brenda) Van Atta of Lakeview; mother, Toni Van Atta of Ada; brother, Mitchell (Fonda) Van Atta of Lakeview; sisters, Vicki (Glenn Dye) Van Atta and Becky Van Atta both of Ada; nieces and nephews, Natalie, Nichole, Nicholas, Zackery, Stephanie, Skye, Shelby and Sydney.

Deb was a 1983 graduate of Ada High School. She opened her first restaurant in Lima when she was in her 20s. She later went on to cook at the Elks and John & Toni’s Restaurant in Ada. Deb was a hard worker with a soft heart.  She always seemed to be happy, people took a liking to her and she was loved by everyone.
