A visitation for Derek Ward will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.

Derek died on February 9, 2022 in Kenton. He was born on January 28, 1991 in Kenton to Christopher (Danielle) Ward of Kenton and Tina (Harbor) Ward of Kenton who both survive. 

Also surviving are his paternal grandfather; Dan Ward of Kenton, maternal grandmother; Judy Harbor of Kenton, step grandparents; Bobby (Kathy) Purcell of Kenton, 4 sisters; Tessa Coulson of Ada, Teara Coulson of Ada, Gracey Steele of Kenton, Jenna Ward of Kenton, 3 brothers; Darian Ward of Forest, Phillip Coulson of Ada, Dylan Ward of Kenton, uncles; Jess (June) Harbor of Lakeview, Dean (Denise) Harbor of Forest, Shane Harbor of California, 2 step-uncles; Jake (Jesse) Purcell of Kenton, Shawn (Lindsey) Howard of Kenton and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother; Judy Ward, maternal grandfather; Louie Harbor, and an uncle; Randy Ward.

Derek was a 2009 graduate of Kenton High School.

He enjoyed going fishing, camping and playing video games. Derek was also an avid Michigan Football fan.

Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
