A funeral service for Diane Murphy will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 8, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Jmac Geissinger officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the funeral home.

Diane died on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in Kenton. She was born on September 24, 1951 in Kenton to the late Joe Fancher and Jean (Sapp) Inmon. She married Michael Sherwod and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1983. She then married Thomas Murphy and he also preceded her in death on June 5, 2021.

Surviving are 2 daughters; Kim Sherwood of Kenton, Tammy Arzberger of Middleburg, 2 sons; Casey Sherwood of Kenton, Wesley Sherwood of Kenton,10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by a son; Tommy Murphy and a step-father; Cap Inmon.

Diane worked many various jobs throughout her life but her favorite was working for Jimmies Pizzas in Kenton and delivering pizza in her little blue sports car.

Diane loved her family and loved to spend time with them. She especially loved her grandchildren and enjoyed going to all of their events and games to cheer them on. She would do anything for them. In her free time she would go to horse races with her husband, where she watched the races and played slots.  

Memorial donations in Diane’s honor may be made to the Hardin County Humane Society.
