Obituary for Don E. McClure

Don E. McClure, age 84, went to his Heavenly home on Friday, April 1, 2022.  He passed away peacefully at his home.  Don was born to the late Robert and Ruth McClure on January 19, 1938.  He married Marilyn Mattox on August 18, 1963.  She preceded him in death on February 6, 2019.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold McClure, and sister, Marianne Roether.  Don worked at Rockwell and Arvin Meritor for many years.  He also enjoyed farming.  He will be remembered for his hard work, faith and loving support of his family.  Don attended First Church of God in Ridgeway, Ohio and served in Gideons International.  Don was a veteran of the United States Army.  Don is survived by his children; Keith (Stacey) McClure of Wilmington, OH., Scott (Denese) McClure of Kenton, Monica (David) Schwartz of Kenton, Tonya (James) Whitaker of Kenton, grandchildren; Jocelyn Renkert, Kitrina (Luke) Heilman, Thane (Amber) Schwartz, Lyndsey Schwartz, Alyssa (Tim) Cowan, Jenna Whitaker, Colten Whitaker, and seven great grandchildren.  Don is also survived by two brothers; Laverne (June) McClure and Russell McClure, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME and Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the First Church of God, Ridgeway, Ohio.  A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the First Church of God, Ridgeway, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Gideons International or First Church of God Ridgeway, Ohio.
