Dorothy Belle Waxler, age 93, formerly of Arlington, died at 4:30am on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Fox Run Assisted Living in Findlay. Dorothy was born on August 14, 1926 in Fredericktown, Ohio in Knox County to the late Ross and Florence (Belle) Lloyd Beheler. Dorothy was the co-owner of Waxler Excavating and Concrete. She retired as a sales clerk at the Arlington Pharmacy. She was the former President of the Arlington American Legion Auxillary Post #621. She enjoyed mowing, reading, and needlework. She married Paul F. Waxler on November 5, 1952 and he preceded her in death on January 22, 1991. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Cheryl A. (David F.) Crates of McComb; brother, Dale Beheler of Fredericktown, Ohio; grandchildren: Kelly Ann (David) Bosworth and Kay Weaver; great-grandchildren: Marc Bosworth, Matt Bosworth, Abigail Inbody, and Alex Kreh; special sister-in-law, Barbara Slough; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Carroll Ackerman; and her sisters: Wilma Hall and Marilyn Hart. Visitation will be held from 1:00-5:00pm on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Arlington and for one hour (10:00-11:00am) prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 27 at the funeral home. Pastor Steve Ramsey will officiate and burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
