Dorothy L. Rubenhagen age 92 of Upper Sandusky, died at OSU Wexner Medical Center on Feb.13, 2024. She was born June 25, 1931 in Nevada to the late Clarence A. and Lillie M. (Boulyard) Jacobs. Dorothy had been married to and preceded in death by husbands Robert Leathem, Paul Myers, Russell Fagan and Edward Rubenhagen. Surviving are her children Gregory (Bonnie) Leathem, Clyde, Jeffery (LouAnne) Leathem and Patrick (Carol) Leathem both of PA, Karen S. Griswold and Carolyn (Ken) Caudill, both of Upper Sandusky, 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son-in-law Mark Griswold and sisters Martha J. Francis and Ruth E. Kuenzli.
She retired in 1991 after 12 years of employment as a nurses aide at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Rubenhagen was a former member of Nevada United Methodist Church and a former member of AmVets #777, VFW #2842, Eagles #2184 and the Moose #1093. Her hobbies were sewing and flower gardening, and most of all she loved her feline friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tues. Feb. 20, 2024 at Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Sturgeon officiating. Interment is in Nevada Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home before time of services.
