Dr. Ronald E. Osborn, 68, of Kenton, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in his own home. He was born on March 20, 1951 in Kenton to the late Laurence and Edna (Olliver) Osborn. Surviving are his beloved wife of

44 years, Janet (Deliz) Osborn of Kenton; his daughter Kristin (Chip) Grimshaw of Kenton; his brother Ken (Elaine) Osborn of Marshall, MO, his sister Juanita (Raymond) Wright of Loudon, TN, adopted sister Jane Baker of Kenton, and close friend Gus Bitounis of Westlake. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In 1976, he graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in dentistry and returned to Kenton where he had his practice for almost 42 years, working with his wife, daughter, family friend Dory Warmbrod, and many others over the decades.

Ron enjoyed working in his garage on various projects, hunting, traveling, listening to classical music, solving crossword puzzles, and walking the woods he cherished so much. He had an affinity for the color green (especially John Deere green), never met a potato-based dish he didn’t like, and was constantly on the hunt for the next new recipe to test out.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Kenton. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Casual attire is encouraged per Ron’s wishes.
