Edwin G. Powell, 77 of Belle Center passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Kenton on January 18, 1947, to Dwight and Wanda (Carr) Powell. Edwin graduated from Riverdale High School, class of 1965. He married Ragina Curl on September 15, 1968, and she preceded him in death in 2009. Mr. Powell is survived by his daughter, Renee (Rob) Albert of Worthington, Ohio, son, Craig Powell of Kenton, grandchildren; Justin (Shelby) Powell, Adeline Albert and Avah Albert and his fiancé, Donna Stephan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ragina and his sister, Linda Clinger. Ed was a lifelong Jackson Township, Hardin County farmer, business owner of Mt. Victory Meats and sheepman. He served on the board of the Hardin County Soil & Water Conservation District and the Hardin County Fair Board. He was also a member of the Hardin County sheep improvement association and was a 4-H advisor and judge for many years. A graveside service will begin at noon on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Ed to the Hardin County Fair.
