Ernest L. Scott, 69 of Kenton

Funeral services for Ernest L. Scott will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2019 at The Price – McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor David Sneer officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery with Military Rites by Amvets Post 1994. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 PM till 7:00 PM on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the funeral home.

He died on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Hardin Hills Health Center. He was born on November 12, 1949 in Kenton to the late Alfred Scott and Ruth Loney. On June 16, 1973 he married Janet Jacques and she preceded him in death on October 29, 2014. He then married Brenda Williams and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are 3 sisters; Terri (Rod) Summers of Rushsylvania, Doretta Wells of Forest and Francine Moore of Marion. 5 brothers; Rodney Albert (Manuela) Scott of Alger, Michael Eugene Scott of Lakeview, Larry Wayne (Meri) Scott of Zanesfield, Mitchell Barry (Linda) Scott of Arizona and Mike Wallace of Kenton. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 1 sister; Sherry Caudill and 1 brother; Daniel Wallace.

Ernest is a U.S. Marine Veteran, serving during Vietnam.

After serving, Ernest worked various jobs through out his life including, welding, working in machine shops and doing construction.

He was a member of the Kenton Eagles and the Victory Chapel of Praise in Alger.

Ernest enjoyed hunting, fishing, and drinking coffee with his friends at McDonalds.
