Evelyn May Crawford–born May 30, 1922 in Forest Ohio

Went home into the arms of Jesus on July 31, 2021 at the age of 99.
She passed peacefully in the home of her son in Orlando surrounded by her children.

On June 26, 1942 she married Russell Donald Crawford, who preceded her in death on August 15, 1977
They had 3 children–Arden (Duane Harpet) Crawford, Tucson Arizona–Gary (JoAnne) Crawford, Orlando Florida–Nadine (Daniel) Knisel, Winter Park, Florida

She had 3 grandchildren–David (Elizabeth) Crawford, Eric (Lori) Crawford and Jayme (Laura) Lapham
3 step grandchildren–Sally Swartz, Myndie Swartz and Shaun (Jamie) Swartz
9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Russell–her parents Frank & Gladys Ropp–her sister Eunice DeHaven and a step-granddaughter Myndie Swartz

Evelyn lived her life working alongside her husband on their farm and raising their family. In 1966 the family moved to Tecumseh, Mich , where she was employed at the Diner until 1977 when she took employment withTecumseh Public Schools until she retired and moved back to Ohio.

She was always involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was always a friend to everyone she had the pleasure of knowing.

You could always count on Evelyn to be there if you ever needed anything.

Those who knew her will remember her as always caring for others-being kind and loving and having a great sense of humor. She always kept you guessing what she would say or do next. She was also known for her tasty cookies, potato salad and banana salad, only to name a few.

She loved life, family and friends to the fullest. Her hobbies were playing cards, watching sports and being involved in everything at Heather Hills Estates in Bradenton, Fl where she resided for the past 20+ years.

A funeral service will be held Saturday August 14 at 11 AM at Blanchard River Church of Christ -15745 State Route 81, Dunkirk Ohio 45836 with internment at the Houston Cemetery on County Rd 20 (west of Forest) in Forest, Ohio. There will be a luncheon following at Blanchard River Church of Christ in Dunkirk, Ohio where Evelyn was a lifelong member.
