Funeral services for Franklin Earl Knupp will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Bill Prater officiating. Family and Friends may visit 3 hours prior to the services. Burial will follow at the Dunkirk Cemetery.
Franklin died on August 21, 2021 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 2,1938 in Ligonier, Pennsylvania to the late Denny and Minnie (Ribblet) Knupp. On November 6,1960 he married Carla (Ault) Knupp and she survives in Dunkirk.
Also surviving are 2 daughter’s; Teresa Rowe of Kenton and Kimberly Combs of Dunkirk, 1 son; Craig (Lori) Knupp of Fostoria, 4 sisters; Alice Iscrupe of Brunswick, OH, Jean Springer of Stahlstown, Pennsylvania, Nancy Schuller of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Connie Gearhart of Stahlstown, Pennsylvania, 2 grandchildren; Danielle (Joseph) Robinette and Tyler (Joy) Combs, 2 twin great-grandchildren; Sarah and Miracle Robinette and several nieces and nephews.
Frank attended Rhodes College in Lima, graduating with an associate degree.
He was an United States Army Veteran,
Frank was involved in many organizations including a lifetime member of the AM Vets Post 1994, Dunkirk Masonic Lodge, Kenton Masonic Bodies York Rite, Valley of Toledo Scottish Rite, Columbus Aladdin Shrine, and the American Legion Post in Forest.
He was an assistant manager at Woolworth, preached part-time, farmed and was at International Paper in Kenton for several years. He enjoyed feeding birds and golfing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
