Memorial services for Gregory Douglass Temple will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Gregory D. Temple passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 4:15 P.M. at The Marion General Hospital from complications caused by Covid-19 pneumonia. He was born on October 7, 1952 in Kenton to the late Nelson and Josephine (Pickering) Temple. On August 28, 1987 Greg married Lynda Zaring and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are 1 daughter; Sasha (Jim Ruimveld) Temple of Kenton, 1 son; Benjamin (Rebecca Robinson) Temple of Battle Creek, Michigan, 1 brother; Jerrold L. (Jane) Temple of Kenton, 2 brother-in-laws; David (Julie) Zaring of Kenton, Stephen Zaring of Miami, Florida, 5 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Greg had a very big sense of humor and had many interests throughout his life, including being a private pilot, a real estate broker, computer software system designs, architecture, a classical guitarist and an avid reader. He enjoyed going to estate sales on the weekends with his wife to study the designs of the houses and using admired design components in new floor plan designs.

The last few years of Greg’s life were marred by many health issues for which he fought a good fight with faith. He was a diabetic and suffered the loss of both feet but because Greg was a born again Christian, his family and friends are greatly comforted knowing that he is now healthy and whole.
