Obituary for Helen M. Rife

Helen M. Rife, age 92, of Wharton, died Fri. Feb. 5, 2021 at Westbrook Assisted Living.

She was born June 13, 1928 in Carey to the late Graham E. & Mildred R. (Hotelling) Buckland. She married Robert R. Rife on May 17, 1946 and he passed Aug. 20, 2015.

Mrs. Rife is survived by her children Becky (Tom) Adams, SC; Betty (Bill) Gary, Lima; Chuck (Lisa) Rife, Wharton; Millie (Michael) Walsh, Cincinnati; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brother Charles (Cindy) Buckland, Carey; and sister Annette Ulrich, MN.

She was a member of Big Oak UMC, and then attended services at Westbrook Assisted Living. She enjoyed doing domestic chores, especially feeding her cats, playing cards, listening to music, watching westerns, and the Lawrence Welk Show.

A private family funeral service will be held at Clark Shields Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Chorle officiating. Interment will follow in Wharton Richland Union Cemetery, Wharton.
