Obituary for Helen M. Vent

Helen M. Vent age 86 of Upper Sandusky, died in the emergency room at Marion General Hospital on Feb. 19, 2024. She was born Sept. 20, 1937 in Fostoria to the late Charles F. and Mary E. (Volz) Ritzler. She married Bernard F. Vent Sr. on Aug. 16, 1958, he preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1993. Surviving are her children Mary Beth (Mark) Hartenstein, IL, Jeannie M. (Bob) Mostoller, Jackie S. Vent, Charles F. (Laurie) Vent, Bernard F. Jr. (Donna) Vent , Christopher J. (Sue) Vent, William J. Vent and Jerald L. (Heidi) Vent, all of Upper Sandusky, 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a grandson Seth Vent, and 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Vent was graduate of St. Wendelin High School, Fostoria. She was member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church and had been a nurses aide at Fairhaven Health Care Center, retiring in 2004. She was a 4-H advisor, was a member of Farm Bureau and served on the State Farm Bureau Camping Committee. She was a member of the former Country Modern Mother’s Club. She enjoyed watching Upper Sandusky Ram Sports and Ohio State Buckeyes, camping, doing crossword puzzles and attending her grandchildren’s events.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Sat. Mar. 2, 2024 at Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church. Interment follow in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Fri. Mar. 1, 2024 from 4:00-7:00PM at the Bringman Clark Funeral Home, with a Catholic Prayer Service at 7:00PM.
