Obituary for Ione A Hughes (Kubik)

Ione A Hughes (Kubik), 70 of Kenton passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Hinsdale IL. on December 11, 1950 to the late Charles and Mildred (Lemke) Kubik. She married Conrad Michael “Mike” Hughes on November 21, 1970 and he survives along with three sons; Stewart Hughes, Jason Hughes and Nathan Hughes, 4 grandchildren; Olivia Hughes, C. Jackson Hughes both of Conrod IA, Malia Hughes and Gianna Hughes of Plymouth OH. Ione is also survived by her two brothers, Al Joe Kubik of AZ, Lee Kubik of MO. and a sister; Vivian Barry of MO.   She was a very caring and loving mother and grandmother.  She would always ask about her grandchildren to find out about the new things in their life.  Ione always loved spending time with her friends and she loved the time spent traveling to once in a lifetime places.  She also loved working in the garden to make sure her flowers around the house would look beautiful.   A Celebration of Life will be held for Ione at her home on June 12 at 1:00 pm.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
