of Kenton

A graveside service for Jack Lee Stauffer will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Grove Cemetery in Kenton with Rev. Jonathon Hanover officiating. Military rites will be performed by Amvets Post 1994. Masks should be worn and Covid-19 protocols should be followed at all services. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jack died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born on July 4, 1939 in McDonald Township to the late Warren and Audrey (Chamberlain) Stauffer. On November 6, 1965 he married Shirley Closser and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are 2 sons; Eric (Deborah) Stauffer of Nashville, Ryan Stauffer of Kenton, a sister; Janice Stauffer of Worthington, a brother; Gary (Kay) Stauffer of Kenton, 2 grandchildren; Joslyn and Luke Stauffer and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister; Joyce Stauffer.

Jack was a 1957 graduate of Kenton High School and a proud U.S. Airforce Veteran.

He worked for Price Funeral Home in Kenton for several years but retired as a project manager for ODOT after 20 years of service.

Jack was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kenton.

He had a passion for remote controlled airplanes and was a member of the RC Model Club. He would build and fly his own model planes. He also enjoyed listening to music.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Not By Choice, the American Heart Association, or the First United Methodist Church in Kenton.
