Obituary for Jack Leroy Stanley

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jack Leroy Stanley, 77, of Forest, Ohio, who went to be with his Lord at 5:12 am on Sunday, October 17, 2021.  He passed away at Lima Memorial Hospital.

He was born on August 18, 1942, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Bertha and Orland Stanley.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Stanley, his siblings Donald, Tracey, Lloyd “Pete”, and Anna.

Jack is survived by his daughters, Christine (Timothy) Ricketts and Leslie (Tony) Stanley, as well as Angie Booth, Jennifer Titus, Frank Hurley and 30 additional children that he and Patricia fostered over the years; his grandchildren, Dylan (Jessica) Coleman, Gage Slayback, India Slayback, Tharion Stanley, Sage Stanley, and Riley Ricketts, Stephanie McClain; his great-grandchildren Alexis, Krew, Layla, Landon, Aricen, Valentina, Paige, Chad and Ethan; and his siblings, Dale “Dick”, Beverly, Susan and Barbara. Also surviving is Jack’s fiance, Sharon Lowery, Cindy (Terry) Camper, Ron Jr. (Cathy) Lowery, Hayden, Samantha, Cami, and his spoiled dog, Sassy. Jack loved his family dearly.

Jack was a proud Marine (Rocket Launcher and Flame Thrower) veteran. He retired from Durez Corporation after many years of dedicated service. He was an avid bowler, he enjoyed playing cards, he loved camping, and he was a long time fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. Jack loved classic cars and listening to the oldies. Above all, Jack loved spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, October 21, 2021 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.  Burial will follow in Otterbein Cemetery where the AMVETS Post 1994 will present full military rites.  Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service (12:00-2:00pm) Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials can be made to the Fisher-Nightingale Houses, https://www.fnhi.org/.  Online condolences can be shared by visiting stoutcrates.com.
