Obituary for James L. Kalb

James L. Kalb age 89 of Forest, died at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on May 2, 2022.

He was born on Mar. 30, 1933 in Forest to the late John and Donna (Clark) Kalb. James was first married to the late Ioma Dean, then married Barbara (Layne) Click, she survives in Forest.

He is survived by a son Herbert Kalb, Kenton, step-daughters Peble (Curt Shaw) Click, Mt. Victory and Donna (James) Ratliff, Forest.  18 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, sisters Ruth (Archie) Swanson, MI, Ruby Ann (Darel) Wigman, AZ, Mary Lou Kalb, FL and Judy (Scott) Dominiak, IL.  James is preceded in death by sons James Kalb and Jesse Kalb and step-son Charles Click Jr., 2 brothers and 1 sister.

James was employed at the Lima Joint Systems Manufacturing.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and attended  Forest Baptist Church.  James enjoyed fishing, target shooting, motorcycle riding and playing jokes on people, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

A graveside services will be held on Thurs. May 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jackson Center Cemetery with James Robinette officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice in care of Clark Shields Funeral Home 301 S.
