James R. Priddy, age 80, of Findlay, died on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Blue River, Kentucky on May 11, 1941, to the late Irvin and Mary (Sloan) Priddy. He first married Bernice Shepherd and she preceded him in death, he then married Edna May Shepherd on October 17, 1992 and she is deceased.
He is survived by children: Preetamdas Kirtana of New Mexico and Belinda Rylen of
Cincinnati, Ohio; step children: Michelle Drennen and Melissa (Brent) Moore both of Kenton; grandchildren: Calvin Roberts, Harley Roberts, Chelsey (Josh) Holland, Magen Moore and Riley (Josie) Moore; great grandchildren; Saijyn Roberts, Baikyr Roberts, Copelan Holland, Kate Holland and Oaklyn Moore. He was also preceded in death by siblings: Polly (John) Reed, Maddie (Everett) Herald and Dorothy (Tom) Swinehart.
James was retired and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed working in the yard, crossword puzzles, reading the Bible, cheering for the Denver Broncos and doting on his wife.
A joint visitation for James and his wife, Edna will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay from 10:0 am until 2:00 pm with a joint funeral service at 2:00 pm on Wednesday. Pastor Joshua Thilmony will officiate and burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
