Funeral services for Jane A. Ruppright will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 13, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church, Dola, with Pastor Steve Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Dola Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 pm Thursday, May 12, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home, Kenton. 

She died May 8, 2022 at her home. She was born Dec. 18, 1937 in Dunkirk, to the late James Thurman and Marguerite (Musgrave) Getz. She married Orville Ruppright Jr. on Jan. 16, 1955 at St. John Lutheran Church, Dola and he preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2007. 

She is survived by two daughters, Becky (Paul) Coker of Dola; Beth (Joe) Burgbacher of Kenton; three sons, Steve of Hanover, PA; Tom of Dola; Mark (Darcy) of Kenton; five grandchildren, Jennifer Morris, Jacob and Daniel Burgbacher, Carter and Kaine Ruppright, and several great grandchildren. A sister, Joy (Getz) Ruhlen of Dunkirk; two brothers-in-law, Russel Ruppright of Findlay; Frank Berry of Tiffin; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She worked at Triplett Corp in Bluffton and retired from Hardin Northern School as an educational aide. A member of St John Lutheran Church, she served on church council, was a youth leader, a member of the choir and the woman’s Bible study group. She was a 4-H advisor, a member of the Hardin Northern Band Boosters, and the Hardin Northern Public Library’s book club. 

She was awarded “Volunteer of the Year” at the Hardin County Council on Aging and served on its advisory board. 

She enjoyed playing bingo at the Hardin Northern Community Center, reading, traveling and many other hobbies. 

Memorials may be made to the Hardin Northern Public Library, Ridgemont Activities Boosters or St. John Lutheran Church.
