Jeanette L. Morrison of Kenton, went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband at 8:20 AM on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at her residence. She was born at San Antonio Hospital in Kenton on May 12, 1936, the daughter of the late Carl and Josephine (Lujan) MCCann.  On June 1, 1956, she married the love of her life, Richard E. Morrison.  He went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2015.  Jeanette is survived by her children; Jeffery Dean (Donna) Morrison of Kenton, Robynn Lee (Alan) Stepp of Kenton and Karen Joe (Kirk) Reed of Kenton, her siblings; Glen G. (Mary Lou) McCann of Findlay and Patricia A. (Lew) Fisher of Ridgeway, grandchildren; April (Scott) Hair of Kenton, Drew Johnson of Columbus, Noell (Matthew) Garza of Galloway, Kasey (Mike) Martin of Virginia and Kristopher Reed of Kenton, great-grandchildren; Gage Hair, Jordan Hair, Brook Hair, Briana King, Nathan King, Dylan King, Anissa Johnson of Kenton, Pilar Soriano, Ricardo Soriano of Galloway and Riley Martin of Virginia, great-great grandchildren; Brennan Hair, Lennon Hair, Caden Gheen and Hudson Gheen of Kenton. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, William Alan Stepp and grandson, Brian King, brothers; Tom McCann, Carl Jr. McCann, Richard McCann, Frank McCann and sister, Shirley Holihan all of California. Jeanette was a graduate of Kenton Senior High School. She worked at North Electric in Kenton for 19 years, at TG&Y, McCroys and Ames in Kenton for 21 years, Lowe’s in Findlay for 8 years and for the Kenton City Schools for 10 years as a sub custodian and cafeteria worker. She also worked with the kindergarten children at the Oaklief School, helping them read. Jeanette is a member of the Flat Branch Church of Christ where she served as a trustee. She taught Sunday school and VBS at several different Churches of the Christ throughout her life. Jeanette loved working for the Lord. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing and doing crafts for all the people she knew. She also loved cooking and baking for her family. She was always making all kinds of cookies and pies. She made the best homemade pizza, beef & Noodles and apple dumplings! She also enjoyed boating at Indian Lake and vacationing in Canada with the love of her life.  A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Kenton where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM Monday until the time of service.  Pastor Mike Armentrout will officiate and burial will follow in Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be limited to Jeanette’s entire family and her church families from Flat Branch, McGuffey and Central Churches of the Christ. On Jeanette’s request, masks will be worn while in the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Jeanette to Universal Hospice Care of Bellefontaine or to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
