of Kenton

A funeral service for Jeffrey Lee Brown will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the funeral home.

Jeff passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the Kettering Health Center in Kettering, Ohio. He was born on May 20, 1961 in Cuyahoga Conty, Ohio to the late Ronald and Sharon (Hatchett) Brown. On June 17, 2000 he married Joy Lynne Hogue and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are sons; Toby (Jenae) Brown of Arlington, John (Criss) Brown of North Carolina, Christopher Brown of Urbana, Stepsons; Cody (Kelsey) Magann of Toledo, Adam (Kristin) Magann of Kenton, Brothers; Greg (Ann) Brown of Kenton, Mitch (Jackie) Brown of Delaware, Jonathan Brown of Perrysburg, step-mother; Beth Brown of Kenton, grandchildren; Cailyn Brown, Carter Magann, Vivian Magann, Riley Magann, Rory Magann, Lilium Moon, Kevin Moon and several nieces and nephews.

Jeff was a proud U.S. Marine veteran. He worked for Keller Logistics as a truck driver. He was also healy involved with the community, being a 32nd Degree & Commandery Mason, and an  Amvets 1994 Commander & Dept. of OH 1st Vice Commander. He was also a member of Kenton Moose Lodge 428 and Kenton Eagles 2163.

Being a Marine Corps veteran and member of the AMVETS was very important to Jeff. He loved his family, friends and the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and loved his Jeep. He and Joy spent many vacations in the mountains hiking, tasting and purchasing wine and enjoying the scenery.
