Jeraldine Stone Sparks, age 86, of Kenton, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 9:55 AM at Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on January 20, 1936, in Hardin County, Ohio to the late James and Stella (Howard) Stone.
She married the late Robert Sparks. Her children: David (Lorinda) Sparks of Belle Center, Darlene (Rudy) Altamirano of Kathleen, Georgia and Denise Guess of Kathleen, Georgia all survive, along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jeraldine was preceded in death by all her siblings: Maxine Collins, Imogene Pack, Mary Jane Allen, Homer Stone, James Stone, Jr, Betty Risner, Sevard Ray Stone, Barbara Evenson, Larry Davis, and Nora Patton.
She had many unique pursuits over the course of her life’s journey. For many years her family and friends knew her as a very successful Pastor. A significant portion of the youth of this church chose an education that opened doors to a Theological career. From that Church came Pastors, Evangelists, Missionaries, Musicians, a Military Chaplain, Teachers, and youth Ministers. Her life literally affected the lives of countless individuals though the ministries coming from the church.
It was her wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Pastor Dan Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
