of Kenton

Funeral services for Jo Jean Emans will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may call 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home. Masks will be required and Covid-19 protocols should be followed.

Jo Jean passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. She was born on July 27, 1945 in Kenton to the late Ernest and Lucille (Kruse) Rhoades. 

Surviving are 2 daughters; April (Mark) Meeks of Bend, Oregon, Lisa (Doug Short) Emans of Lima, 3 sons; Shawn (Erica) Emans of Findlay, Eric Emans of Kenton, Scott (Angie) Emans of Findlay, a brother; Jim Rhoades of Kenton, 3 grandchildren; Grant Emans, Brody Hickle, Brock Fruth, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother; Jerry Rhoades.

Jo Jean worked for D.A.B. in Bellefontaine for over 37 years before retiring.

She was a member of the Kenton Moose and enjoyed going out to the Hardin County Council on Aging.

Jo Jean was a dedicated mother, who loved her family dearly. Her children were her greatest joy.

 In her free time, she enjoyed listening to country music, dancing, playing bingo and going shopping..

Memorial donations in Jo Jean’s honor may be made to the Kenton Moose, Hardin County Council on Aging or the donor’s choice.
